LASER CUTTING

Image
Hello! Welcome to Laser Cutting Practical✂ , this activity was a lot of fun and I had learnt so much more behind the laser cutting process.  I would first like to present the IMPROVED SOP that my team and I had executed for the production of our parametric construction kit after completing the individual competency activity. The highlighted  RED parts are the changes my team and I had made to our existing SOP. STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE NAME OF ACTIVITY: LASER CUTTING✂ Purpose  To obtain a bowl made by slotting different shapes which will be cut by a laser cutter. Scope  Ensure safety and follow the instructions based on this procedure. Responsibilities  LEADER: Kalyani -make sure the team is on the right track and does not side track to something else -supervise the team when in need of help. CAD PHONE STAND

Image
WELCOME TO MY HANDPHONE STAND DESIGN BLOG. This blog will document the thought process into creating this phone stand.📱 IDEA: I first took inspiration from a small cute animal, a chicken.🐣 I wanted to make a personalised cute phone case that would suit my style. Hence, I also thought of functionality, I share a room with my littler sister so I created a design for a phone stand that can hold both our phones. And I also implement an adjusting design so the phone can lie in portrait or landscape form. DIMENSIONS:📏📐 Length: 15.3 cm Width: 8.5 cm Thickness: 1.5 cm SKETCH:✏ For the sketch, I started off with the backing support that will look like a chick. I sketch a rectangle slightly larger than the dimensions of my phone, Then a created a circle that overlaps with the rectangle having the same diameter as the rectangle. I trimmed off the lines that overlaps each other, then added two circles and a triangle to make the face of the chick. I then created two more circles at the bottom o...

COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN (CAD)

Image
In this blog, I will be recording my process in refreshing my CAD skills by using the Fusion360 software to make a keychain. SKETCH: This sketch shows the base of the keychain with the border. This sketch shows the base of the keychain including the text. FINISHED SKETCH: This is the top view of the finished sketch of the keychain where the border and the text are extruded. This is the side view of the finished sketch of the keychain where the border and the text are extruded. This is the side view of the finished sketch of the keychain where the border and the text are extruded and I change the appearance/material of the border and text. REFLECTION: I enjoy using fusion 360 to make different ideas appear in a 3 dimensional model. Making the keychain refreshes my mind on the different tools such as extruding and changing of text. I was even able to remember on how to change the appearance of the keychain. I really enjoy using this software as it is quite easy to use with the help...

INTRODUCTION✋ I am Jolyn from DCHE/FT/2B/02, I am part of group Kalyani and Friends. On this page I am going to highlight my personal goals for this module that I wish to achieve by then end of the semester. Describe on what i want to improve on and what are the strategies I will use to do so. PERSONAL GOALS:💫 I would like to improve on my CAD skills on Fusion360, such as being able to create basic 3D shapes/models without the use of a tutorial. I want to come up with an exceptional prototype for this module and aim for a high grade with my teammates. STRATEGIES:✍ To improve on my CAD skills, I should be self-directed to search up for different tutorials on using different techniques to make different shapes and models. By using following those tutorials to practice on making the shapes and models on the Fusion360 in my own time. I should practice multiple times so that I can remember how to do it without referring to the tutorials. To always communicate and discuss with my teammat...
